One of my main roles within Solent NHS Trust is paediatric musculo-skeletal podiatry. To me, few things are more distressing than a child not achieving their potential because of lower limb pain. Exclusion from sport, PE or even normal walking can lead to a lifelong habit of sedentary behavior.
In my experience, early diagnosis and treatment of lower limb musculo-skeletal conditions can make a huge impact on the life of a child. If your child has foot, lower limb, or even back pain a biomechanical foot and gait analysis is a great place to start. Get the foundation right and the rest will follow!
